Title: Counseling Center Services: Supporting Engineering Students’ Mental Health and Well-Being.
Presenter: Juvenal George, PsyD, Licensed Clinical Psychologist & Embedded Clinical Counselor at Engineering
Abstract: In this presentation, I will be discussing college and life stressors that negatively impact student’s academic and mental health functioning. I will go more in depth into what contributes to emotional distress as well as point out symptoms of burnout and suicide in college populations. I will explore the importance of self-care strategies to combat stress and offer information regarding Counseling Center services to support students’ academic and mental health success at Grainger.
