Join us for a special evening with acclaimed pianist and musicologist Samantha Ege as she shares insights from her latest book, which highlights the groundbreaking contributions of Black women who shaped Chicago’s South Side into a thriving center for classical music. In addition to the book discussion, Ege will perform selections that bring this rich history to life.
This event is presented in partnership with the Seminary Co-op Bookstore and the University of Chicago Library Community Engagement team. Light refreshments will be provided.
