Forty years after the original Chicago World's Fair, visitors flocked to the Windy City for another exposition of gleaming technology and opulence. In her new book Ephemeral City: A People’s History of Chicago’s Century of Progress World’s Fair, author and historian Lindsay Fullerton examines this pivotal and fascinating event. On Friday, August 1, the author will discuss her book at Bookends & Beginnings.
Copies of the paperback edition will be for sale, and Fullerton will be available to sign books after the event.
