Indigiqueer is a term used by LGTBQ2S+ Indigenous Peoples that draws on the intersections of gender, sexuality, and spiritual role-behaviors. Byron utilizes his lived experiences and tribal histories to explore the sanctity of traditional gender roles, the impact of Euro-settler culture on Indigenous gender and sexual diversity, and how these knowledges influence his role, responsibilities, and relationships in higher education.
