Due to the campuswide retirement of our current Apple device management system (Workspace One), Technology Services at FAA is currently in the process of migrating Apple devices to the new Apple management system called Jamf Pro. This new system will create an improved user experience in several ways including:
- Less invasive software and operating system updates
- Faster turnaround times for new device setups
- More accurate inventory management
- Increased security compliance
Individuals who need their devices migrated will be receiving separate communications to coordinate times to migrate those devices to the new system by the end of February 2026. If you anticipate any difficulties meeting this deadline, please reach out as soon as possible to find a time that fits your schedule. It is highly recommended that all users backup their data to a campus-approved cloud storage solution prior to migrating your device. Tech Services IT will be setting up an open office hours so that you can stop by to migrate your machine in person in the Art and Design building! You can bring your Mac device to the faculty/staff lounge on the following dates:
- Thursday, February 12 from 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Thursday, February 19 from 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
