Data analytics in sports is everywhere. A recent boom in advanced metrics and statistics Major League Baseball and NBA basketball has led to big data's ascent to relevance in mainstream entertainment.
These large data sets, however, are not limited to professional sports or even statistics. As athletic data becomes more reliably available, opportunities for college athletic programs to dive into everything from biometrics and health to training results and game statistics.
Join NCSA on February 22 from 11 am - noon as we dive into this world of athletic data analysis with Illinois' Director of Athletics Josh Whitman, Head Baseball Coach Dan Hartleb, Assistant Football Coach Kingsley Osei-Asibey, Associate Athletic Director Randy Ballard, Associate Athletic Director, Sports Technology Nick Rogers, and NCSA's own Rob Sisneros.
