The purpose of this virtual meeting* is to bring the experience of survivors of the Clandestine Center of the Navy Mechanics School (Argentina) closer to the educational community: their activism, captivity, resistance, and life since regaining their freedom, their fundamental role in memory and justice processes, and their reflections on the importance of the temporary exhibition "BEING WOMEN" at the ESMA and the Site Museum.

The meeting will also address theoretical aspects of the specific nature of sexual crimes during Argentina's last civil-military dictatorship (1976-1983), as well as the experience of managing the ESMA Site Museum of Memory, as an expression of an essential public policy in processes of MEMORY, TRUTH, AND JUSTICE, and its status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a symbol and testimony to state terrorism based on the forced disappearance of people and the value of social consensus as a means to achieve justice.

*Please note that there has been a time change and the talk will begin at 2:00pm instead of 4:00pm
