This reception during the 2025 AAG Annual Meeting in Detroit is open to current and former Geography & GIS faculty, undergraduate and graduate students and alumni, and friends of the department. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
The Grand Trunk Pub has a rich Detroit history that dates back to 1905, when it was a ticket station for the Grand Trunk Railway. After serving as a hub of transportation for decades, the building was converted into a bar and kitchen for the Metropole Hotel before we bought it in 2006 and then transformed it into the beloved establishment it is today.
