The Department of History and Phi Alpha Theta are hosting a special panel commemorating 75 years since the end of the Second World War on Thursday. November 5 from 7:00-8:15 PM (CDT). 

This much anticipated event features Professors Eugene Avrutin, Peter Fritzsche, John Lynn, and Roderick Wilson of the History Department. They will each speak about a different facet of the Second World War's complex and far-reaching legacy: 

Peter Fritzsche: "World War I, World War II, and the War Against Civilians" 

Roderick Wilson, "Asia-Pacific War" 

John Lynn: “The Terrorist Threat in the United States" 

Eugene Avrutin, "Postwar Reconstructions in the Soviet Union" 

There will be time for an audience Q & A after the speakers are finished.
