University of Illinois students of color are invited to join a small group conversation with Dr. Koritha Mitchell. Dr. Mitchell is a literary historian, cultural critic, and associate professor of English at Ohio State University and is author of Living with Lynching: African American Lynching Plays, Performance, and Citizenship. This conversation is limited to students of color in order to engage in a safe, intimate environment with Dr. Mitchell about her own experiences as a first generation college student of color, and to invite students to share from their own experiences. Group will comprise only Dr. Mitchell and University of Illinois students. Students of color from all three UI campuses are invited to participate.
