Prof. Ayoub works on international relations and comparative politics, gender, and sexuality. In his latest book, When States Comes Out: Europe’s Sexual Minorities and the Politics of Visibility, he investigates transnational LGBTQ+ movements in Europe, looking at both the progress of various movements and state retaliation it has provoked in different political contexts. Prior to our virtual coffee hour, Prof. Ayoub will be giving the opening lecture “When States Come Out: Transnational Movements & the Diffusion of LGBTI Rights in Europe” during the EUC Fall Reception on Tuesday, September 15th.
