Professor Lucy Allais is jointly appointed as the Henry Allison Chair of the History of Philosophy at the University of California at San Diego (UCSD), and Professor of Philosophy at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. She has published extensively on Kant’s theoretical philosophy, including her book, Manifest Reality (Oxford UP, 2015), as well as on topics in moral psychology, especially forgiveness, blame and other emotions related to moral responsibility. Her current research is focused on human freedom in Kant.
