Food for Thought, part of the Office of Inclusion and Intercultural Relation's Lunch on Us series, is a weekly noontime discussion focused on topics relevant to the Asian American community. Past discussions include topics such as nutrition, mental health, sexual health, and media representation of Asian Americans.

Brooke Baslee from Illinois Abroad and Global Exchange Office will present a brief presentation followed by an open question and answer panel for undergraduate students to learn about returnee students’ international experiences abroad. This presentation aims to provide an opportunity for attendees to reflect on the concept of Global Citizenship. Connecting to recent news developments of detention camps, we want to encourage attendees to consider lived experiences of individuals born outside of the United States and inform them about societal circumstances that may cause individuals to want immigrate from one country to another.
