Dr. Tanya L. Saunders is an Associate Professor of Latin American Studies and Gender, Sexualities and Women's Studies at the University of Florida. Their 2015 book, Cuban Underground Hip Hop: Black Thoughts, Black Revolution, was published by the University of Texas Press and is recently translated into Portuguese. In 2021-2022, they will join the Hutchins Center for African American and African Research
at Harvard University as a Spring 2022 Mark Claster Mamolen Fellow.
