This semester the EU Center is delighted to offer a series of publicly available “conversations” with Former Members of the European Parliament. Moderated by EUC Associate Director Jonathan Larson, each conversation will focus on “cases” of past projects, legislation, initiatives, or crises that the Former MEP found particularly rewarding, vexing, or enlightening for understanding the negotiation of European unity and the role that multi-national institutions such as the European Parliament have played in it.
Please join the EU Center on April 20th at 12 P.M. CST for a moderated conversation with Dr. Stefan Gehrold, Member of the European Parliament from 2018 to 2019, where he served on the Committees on Economic and Monetary Affairs, Transport and Tourism and Development, and as part of three delegations. Join Dr. Gehrold for an inside look at the world of the European Parliament, particularly its role in drafting common regulations for sustainable finance. Dr. Gehrold will open with remarks on his experience serving on the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs.
