This semester the EU Center is delighted to offer a series of publicly available “conversations” with Former Members of the European Parliament.
Moderated by EUC Associate Director Jonathan Larson, each conversation will focus on “cases” of past projects, legislation, initiatives, or crises that the Former MEP found particularly rewarding, vexing, or enlightening for understanding the negotiation of European unity and the role that multi-national institutions such as the European Parliament have played in it.
Please join the EU Center on March 30th at 12 P.M. CST for a moderated conversation with Dr. Eva Lichtenberger, member of the European Parliament from 2004 to 2014, and Vice-Chair Group of the Greens/European Free Alliance between 2009 and 2011. Join Dr. Lichtenberger for an inside look at the world of the European Parliament, particularly its role in advocacy and coordination on environmental issues. Dr. Lichtenberger will open with remarks on her experience working on issues of transportation and environmental protection at local, national, and European levels. Dr. Lichtenberger will also take additional questions about her experience as an MEP.
