Charles H. Sandage Department of Advertising Brownbag Lunch Series presents Susan Muirhead, multimedia innovation and instructional specialist at the Media Commons in the Undergraduate Library.

Susan Muirhead will discuss how to create and develop multimedia projects in the classroom that have cinematic imagery and engaging stories. This workshop will take you through the entire media creation process: from initial concept to final professional product, highlighting the technical and instructional resources available at the Media Commons at the UGL.

Susan Muirhead is a filmmaker who has written, directed, and edited short films that have screened around the world. She is currently the multimedia innovation and instructional specialist at the Media Commons at the Undergraduate Library at the University of Illinois where she works closely with faculty, staff, and students to produce in-class and independent media projects. She is also a video producer for the National Center for Professional Research Ethics. Before this, she was a producer at Technicolor Digital Cinema in Hollywood where she worked with film studios to distribute hundreds of theatrical releases. She has also produced video content for freelance clients such as Random House, the American Bar Association, and TimeLine Theatre Company in Chicago. She has taught a variety of film production classes and media workshops at Columbia College Chicago, Facet's Multimedia Chicago, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
