The Illinois Computer Science Summer Teaching Workshop brings together college instructors engaged with teaching computer science to discuss best practices, challenge the status quo, propose new directions, and present surprising or preliminary results. Since it began in 2020, the workshop has been a welcoming venue with over 100 participants each year and has accepted most proposals. The 2024 workshop will be held on June 3rd and 4th, with sessions 10–12 and 1–3 pm each day (Central Daylight Time).
This year’s workshop theme is Broadening Participation in Computing (BPC). The workshop will delve into the topics of creating more pathways into computing and fostering Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in computing.
