Designed especially with youth in mind, this version of Turn. Turning. TURNT features excerpts presented in a lively lecture-demonstration format. Audiences won’t just watch—they’ll be invited to participate, ask questions, and connect with the artists and ideas on stage. This vibrant blend of dance, music, and visual design is recommended for ages 7 and up.

Featuring Dance at Illinois alumni and an accomplished creative team, this immersive experience blends dance, music, visual art and design.

Dom Flemons, one of the country’s leading banjo scholars and performing artists, will provide a spell-binding performance discussion about America’s rich black banjo legacies to help kick off this year’s CU Folk and Roots Festival. Join us for an evening of American roots music – everything from country, folk, and bluegrass to Americana and the blues.
