The ancient poet Sappho coined "sweetbitter" in one of her most evocative verses, still striking us to the heart nearly three millennia later. As with so many ancient figures, the poet is more legend than person today, her story told and retold even as her poetry continues to enchant and move. This exhibit will be on display through mid-August 2026.

Tour for caregivers—plus art activities for kids! Join us for Pause + Play, in conjunction with Krannert Art Museum’s Rest Lab 8: Greenspace exhibition. Kids (ages 4–8) enjoy art activities led by museum educators, while their caregivers get to join a guided tour exploring the artwork on view. The event offers parallel experiences to nurture both adults and children.

The Media Commons provides interdisciplinary, collaborative, digital media and technology creation tools and spaces where you can access expertise, purpose built recording recording equipment and spaces, as well as loanable technology to support your research work.
