This webinar will discuss lessons from recent tailings dam failures that have had major consequences. These tailings dams were marginally stable before failure due to a combination of factors, such as, high phreatic surface, steep slope, fine-grained tailings, dynamic loadings, etc. 1.0 PDH

This session provides an overview of the structure of the NIH and the various funding mechanisms. Participants will learn to effectively communicate with Program Officers and get tips for planning a successful NIH proposal.

In this seminar, I will present my recent work on engineering phytase-functionalized polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) bio-beads as a novel, recyclable biocatalyst for phosphorus conversion and recovery.
