HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH CELEBRATION 2017

Come with your children to explore the culture of Latin American Hispanic Heritage through a bilingual storytelling, traditional art & crafts, and music. The Spanish Story Time program will be presented as part of the celebration.

Agenda      

2:30 - 4:00 pm Display tables: information about Latin America, crafts, art, traditional dresses, craft activities for children

 

2:30- 2:35 pm - Welcome/ Bienvenidos/ Pasaykamuy

2:35- 2:45 pm - Trilingual Storytelling (Quechua-English-Spanish):  Klavilinapa chitachankuna “/ "Clavelina's little lambs" /"Los corderitos de Clavelina"

   

2:45– 3:00 pm  - Learn to dance Salsa, Bachata and Merengue.   Salsa Caliente   

                  

3:00– 3:20 pm  -  Bilingual Storytelling:  “My Name  Is Celia: The Life ofCelia Cruz/ Me llamo Celia: la vida de Celia Cruz”

 

3:20 –3:30 pm  - Dance Salsa, Bachata and  Merengue with Salsa Caliente  

 

3:30 -3:45 pm  - Performance:Timbalú Salsa Band:  Latin boogaloo, classic salsa, and Cuban timba

 

3:45– 4:00 pm  - Craft: Mola  (art from Panamá)
