The 26th annual meeting of Formal Approaches to Slavic Linguistics (FASL-26) conference will take place at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on May 19-21, 2017. It will feature a special session on the Acquisition and Processing of Slavic Languages. The conference program is now available online, at:


FASL-26 is made possible by support from the National Science Foundation (BCS 1651183), the School of Literatures, Cultures and Linguistics, the Departments of Linguistics, Spanish & Portuguese, and Slavic Languages & Literatures, the SLATE Program, and the Russian, East European, and Eurasian Center.


Registration is FREE to all Illinois faculty and students; if you plan to attend, do please pre-register, so that we have an approximate head-count. Pre-registration is available online at until April 30. On-site registration will also be available.


The invited speakers for the main session are Stephanie Harves (New York University) and Darya Kavitskaya (UC Berkeley).


The invited speakers for the special session on Acquisition and Processing of Slavic languages are Alexandra Perovic (University College London), Irina Sekerina (CUNY - College of Staten Island) and Natalia Slioussar (Higher School of Economics, Moscow).
