This is the May graduation ceremony for the School of Literatures, Cultures and Linguistics, at which graduates will be awarded certificates of graduation. It is open to all bachelors, master's and doctoral degree candidates who have fulfilled their respective requirements for graduation. The doors to the Festival Theater, whose seating capacity is approximately 900, will open at 7:30 p.m., on Saturday, May 17. A limited number of guest tickets will be available to graduates, free of charge, in early May.
Student regalia can be obtained from the Herff-Jones Company. Its Web link for U. of I. graduation orders is scheduled to be activated on Monday, Jan. 6: www.herffjones.com/illinois.
On-campus ordering for purchase of Doctoral regalia will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 29, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., in the Authors Corner (2nd floor) of the Illini Union Bookstore, 809 S. Wright St., Champaign.
An on-campus information session and online ordering will take place from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., on Wednesday, April 2 and Wednesday, April 9, and Thursday, April 17, in the Authors Corner (2nd floor) of the Illini Union Bookstore, 809 S. Wright St., Champaign. Thursday, April 17, is the last day for student online regalia ordering (10 p.m. deadline).
The Herff-Jones Company will distribute regalia in the Multipurpose Rooms 5 & 6 of the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC), 201 E. Peabody Dr., Champaign, from Wednesday, May 14, through Friday, May 16, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, May 17, from 7:30-11 a.m.
Regalia return/collection at ARC's Multipurpose Room 6 will take place on Saturday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Monday, May 19, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Late regalia return (with a $5 fee) will take place from Tuesday through Friday, May 20-23, at the Illini Union Bookstore, 809 S. Wright St., Champaign, during its regular hours: Mondays - Thursdays, 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.; Fridays, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.; Saturdays, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m; Sundays noon - 5 pm.
Note: There is a $20 late fee for students ordering after April 17. Late orders will be taken online from April 18-April 30. After April 30, late students must go to distribution to order and pick up late regalia. Herff Jones will do its best to assist late ordering students, but there are no guarantees that requested regalia will be available.
