The Cancer Center at Illinois is launching an online series to connect with the community and amplify the innovative cancer research conducted by CCIL members. The CCIL Challenge: Creating Cancer Cures During the COVID Crisis encourages the general public to engage with CCIL’s leading researchers who will share how they are using engineering, science and technology to detect and treat cancer faster.
Current events have created a unique challenge for cancer researchers, but now, it's more important than ever to ensure that our progress in fighting cancer continues. The CCIL believes that technology holds the key to the future of cancer diagnosis and treatments, by accelerating progress, providing more effective and timely care, and reducing costs.
Each session features a new panel of researchers speaking on topics including: new cancer diagnostic technologies, cancer drug discoveries, developing personalized cancer treatments, and how pet healthcare can influence human cancer treatment.
