University of Illinois and IHSI will be participating in the American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Walk on September 15th at 4pm in Porter Park, Champaign (registration begins at 3 pm) to help raise awareness around Cardiovascular Disease which is the #1 Killer of all Americans. IHSI will have a team under the University of Illinois (for the 2nd year), so please join us! Not only is the University of Illinois a sponsor of the Heart Walk, but the American Heart Association is currently funding $1.26M in research here at Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. The walk is a one mile loop, that we will walk 3 times for a (nearly) 5K. Families and dogs are very welcome to join!
There will be teams from several other Illinois institutes and colleges. We will all wear Illinois shirts. Let me know if you have questions. I hope that you’ll join our team for this fun event for a good cause!
