The Autism Program (TAP) at UIUC is an academic and community partnership that focuses on providing a resource and referral center for parents and professionals as well as a catalyst for enhancing the community’s capacity for quality services for individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and their families.
Since 2005, Linda Tortorelli has been the coordinator for TAP at Illinois on the Urbana-Champaign campus. She is the parent of an adult son on the autism spectrum. She is a dynamic force behind community education about autism as well as providing direct service to families. Linda was the recipient of the College of ACES Professional Staff Award for Innovation and Creativity, and is a driving force behind TAP’s vibrant presence in the local community.
