KDR #4: Hansel and Gretel (fairy tale opera)

Music by Engelbert Humperdinck, Libretto by Adelheid Wette, Sung by Central Illinois Children’s Chorus. 

The pre-performance presentation is from 6:30 – 7:15 p.m., in the Krannert Room.  The presenter will be Assistant Conductor Michael Tilley and Director Tom Mitchell                                       

Performance: begins at 7:30, in the Tryon Festival Theatre 

PROGRAM:   Lost in the forest and tricked by a house made of sweets, the brother-sister team of Hansel and Gretel must use their brains and their bravery to outwit the witch who pursues them. This enchanting fairy tale opera—itself created by the Brothers Grimm and siblings Engelbert Humperdinck and Adelheid Wette—provides a family-friendly adventure filled with visual and musical wonders. Sung in English.

NOTE THIS KDR and KDR NOVEMBER DANCE are on the SAME NIGHT.  DO NOT SIGN UP FOR BOTH. Duplicate entries will be dropped
