The keynote address for the Joint Area Centers Symposium (JACS) will be delivered by Tariq Ali. He will be speaking on "The Broken Ladder: The Global Left Fifty Years After 1968." The event will be introduced by Behrooz Ghamari-Tabrizi of the Unviersity of Illinois, and opening remarks will be made by David Cooper, also of the University of Illinois.
