The NIH Grant Writing Series is designed to prepare junior faculty at Illinois to submit a strong R01 or other individual investigator proposal to the National Institutes of Health. Applying for funding from NIH can be a daunting and complex process for young researchers, but our approach ensures feedback and guidance all along the way. The series consists of seminar and discussion sessions (approximately 90 minutes each) addressing various aspects of the grant submission process. In addition to the seminar series, selected nominees will participate in a peer review workshop and three meetings with a faculty member who has a history of NIH proposal success. Please refer to the NIH Grant Writing Series page on the IHSI website for more details.
