Petals & Paintings is Krannert Art Museum Council's annual fundraising event in support of Krannert Art Museum held during University of Illinois Moms’ Weekend. The event includes a sealed-bid art auction of a donated work by an established artist, an evening gala with silent auction, and a two-day floral design exhibition. This year marks the 25th anniversary of this beloved event.

This elegant evening event features chamber music by members of Sinfonia da Camera and a cocktail and hors d'oeuvres reception by Michaels' Catering.

A raffle of framed original artwork by Krannert Art Museum Council Members Sandra Batzli, Dot Replinger, Diane Schumacher, Bonnie Switzer, and Birute Simaitis will be available in the KAM lobby during the Gala Friday evening and the exhibition on Saturday and Sunday. The drawing of winners will be held Sunday afternoon at 4:15 pm. Winners will be notified by telephone or mail; you need not be present to win.


The winner of this year's Sealed Bid Art Auction will be announced at 9 pm. The auction features the elegant art glass sculpture Zanfirico Pear (1997) by University of Illinois alumna Flora Mace and Joey Kirkpatrick.
