A panel of local College Presidents will address the myth that assessment is merely a tedious exercise in compliance and will explain how assessment is a critical mechanism for creating value for all Higher Education stakeholders, especially students.

At any institution, effective, efficient assessment should highlight how various programs add value to any its students’ college experience. Hartwick College’s Dean of Assessment and Retention, Kimberly Yousey-Elsener, will demonstrate how such assessment is within reach of all institutions. Based on her experience at West Virginia Wesleyan College, Campus Labs, the University at Buffalo, and Hartwick College, Yousey-Elsener will provide a "how-to" lesson on good assessment practices in even the most demanding fiscal environments.
