Probabilistic Risk Assessment Applications and Research at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission

Abstract: This presentation will provide a brief overview of the history and current applications of probabilistic risk assessment methods, models, and tools at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), with a focus on how these methods support risk-informed decision making.  In addition, several research activities and new risk-informed regulatory initiatives will be highlighted.
