"Finding the Funds: The Do's and the Don'ts"

Mr. Vivian is a Principal & Founder of Kestrel Capital Group, an independent sponsor private equity firm. He has 15 years of experience financing and investing in middle market companies, most recently at Prism Capital. Prism has invested in 40 companies since its inception and Steve joined in 1999 as the second full-time professional. He has invested across all stages of a company's life cycle ranging from seed / start-up to growth, expansion, and late stage buyouts. Mr. Vivian has been an active industry leader, having served as a past Chairman of the National Association of Small Business Investment Companies (formerly NASBIC, now known as the Small Business Investors Alliance, or SBIA). He currently serves on the Institutional Investor and PAC Committees for the Illinois Venture Capital Association and on the President''s Leadership Council of The Chicago Field Museum. Mr. Vivian received both an MBA and a BS in General Engineering from the University of Illinois.
