This two-day workshop is an example-driven tutorial on basic computing skills and will cover topics such as scripting for task and data management, programming with Python, and version control. Short tutorials alternate with hands-on practical exercises. Participants are encouraged both to help one another and try applying what they have learned to their own research problems during and between sessions.
To attend this workshop students must have at least one semester of coding experience and work in the Research Park. Participants should bring their own laptops to work on. Space is limited.
This free workshop will be geared towards Research Park Summer Interns. Registration is required. We encourage interns to sign up together and hope that site directors will encourage their interns as well.
