Shahid Rashid: Shahid Rashid is a co-founder of Atlas5D, an early-stage healthtech startup that safeguards the health of older adults in their own homes.  He is also an organizer of Health Technology Forum and advises a few other startups.  Immediately prior to Atlas5D, Shahid ran product and business development for part of Oracle's Healthcare business.  Early in his career he worked as one of the first engineers in a couple of startups, including Singalworks which was acquired by Cisco.  Shahid's international experience includes spending two summers in Jerusalem teaching business and entrepreneurship to Israeli and Palestinian high school students in the MEET program.  Though he lives in San Francisco, Shahid bleeds Orange & Blue - he grew up in Champaign and received a BS with Highest Honors in Electrical Engineering in 1998.  He also has an MS from UC-Berkeley and an MBA from MIT Sloan.  LinkedIn:; Twitter: @digihealthsf, @atlas5d.

Peter Berger: Peter graduated in Australia with Chemistry and Economics degrees. He had internships at Macquarie Bank (Australia’s leading Investment Bank) and Goldman Sachs, both in Investment Banking. Peter also tried Management Consulting at L.E.K. While great opportunities, none suited him, so he started full time as a graduate trader at Optiver in Sydney. In 2011, he accepted a job at Clarium Capital Management, which was the hedge fund run by Peter Thiel and has moved to being a family office (managing his wealth only). Peter left this to join Akuna in April 2012 when his Optiver non-compete had expired. At Akuna, Peter is a senior trader and manages the trading strategy and quantitative side of the business. Of the traders, he is most involved with the technical side of the business, working closely with the Engineering team.
