Amer Zahn is an Arab American comedian, speaker, writer, academic, and adjunct professor at University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.  He draws on his experiences growing up as a child of Palestinian immigrant parents, performing and lecturing on topics like politics, society, Islam, growing up Arab, and more.

This talk is being presented as Part III of our three-part symposium entitled: "Refugees, Race and Resistance."

2017-2018 marks 20 years of Asian American Studies. Starting as a committee of senior professors from different departments, Asian American Studies is now a full-fledged department with an undergraduate major and minor as well as a graduate minor.
