Abstract:
The James Webb Space Telescope is currently undergoing preparations at the ESA launch facility in Kourou, French Guiana, for a planned mid-December launch. The Webb telescope is a study in extremes: deployment complexity, microns and meters, and hot and cryogenic. An overview of the mission and design will be accompanied by explanations of some of the latest publicly-available photos.
