About the presenter:
Steve Jones (MS ’84, journalism; PhD ’87, ICR) is UIC Distinguished Professor of Communication and Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and Research Professor in UIC’s Electronic Visualization Laboratory. His current research focuses on Human-Machine Communication, Social Robotics, Human Augmentics, AI and Creativity and Sound Studies. He is founder and editor of the journal New Media & Society, founder of the Association of Internet Researchers and served as first Senior Research Fellow at the Pew Internet Project.
