Richard Yeh is Director of Silicon and IP Partnerships for the Reality Labs division at Meta. His team drives the business partnerships for silicon, IP licensing and health tech necessary to bring market-leading VR/AR and wearable devices to life including Quest mixed-reality headsets and Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses. This includes managing partnerships for processors, custom system-on-chip (SOC) devices, mixed signal silicon, computer vision and bio sensors, health and wellness technologies, low power AI, and advanced semiconductor fabrication.

Richard’s career has been focused on bringing innovation into consumer electronics for more than 25 years. He has been a leader at Thundersoft, Samsung, and Motorola in GM and marketing roles. At Thundersoft, which was a unicorn startup based in China that went IPO, he was the GM for the U.S. business. He built the team and strategy that ramped software engineering services engagements with customers making innovative “smart” devices using smartphone processors. At Samsung, Richard was the first marketing hire in the U.S. for mobile Arm-architecture based processors and drove the strategy and promotion that resulted in substantive design wins over a decade that included HP iPAQs PDAs, Palm Treo and Zire, Apple iPod Nano, Shuffle and iPhone, Google Nexus 10, and the first Google Chromebook. At Motorola, Richard led the technical marketing team that drove feature and UI specifications for the software platform first used in the popular V60 phone and later used in all Motorola 2G/3G feature phones.

Richard received a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois, a M.S. from M.I.T., and a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. Richard is passionate about technology innovation that improves people’s lives and enjoys building new businesses. He recently took up running and ran his first marathon in 2023.
