The UIUC College of Engineering, along with the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, will host a workshop on materials computation, on August 14-15, 2017. The theme of the workshop will be data science and multiscale modeling, from electronic structure to the continuum. A group of distinguished invited speakers will join with UIUC faculty and researchers for a program of talks, posters, and discussion over two days. The goals of the workshop are to identify new directions of research and to foster new collaborations.
All local participants — UIUC and NCSA faculty, students, and researchers — are invited to present posters during the Tuesday morning poster session. Posters on any topic related to materials computation are welcomed. Each participant will have 1-2 minutes to “advertise” his or her poster in NCSA 1030 immediately prior to the poster session. Posters will be on display in the NCSA atrium throughout the two-day workshop. In order to be included in the program, anyone planning to present a poster should register on the website, and send their poster title and author affiliation information to Emil Annevelink (firstname.lastname@example.org) no later than August 4th, 2017.
