The exhibition highlights the works of women and collections about women in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies at the University of Illinois and beyond. It includes materials from the University Archives, as well as print collections. Furthermore, in anticipation of the Slavic Reference Service (SRS) hosting the biennial conference of the Association of Women in Slavic Studies (AWSS) in 2024, we seek to celebrate the founding of AWSS at Illinois. Moreover, it is hard to imagine the SRS without the hard work and support of several prominent scholars and librarians, including Mary Zirin, June Pachuta Farris, Helen Sullivan, Angela Cannon, Marianna Tax Choldin, and Diane P. Koenker. We will recognize their contributions to Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies. All are welcome!
