In this workshop, participants will learn about working with Scalar, a platform intended to enable creation of scholarly multimodal publications by integrating media with long-form text, and using non-linear navigation of content. The workshop will focus on basic functionalities of the tool, as well as writing and workflow practices appropriate to creating content with Scalar. Attendees will practice creating a Scalar “book” with content provided by the instructors.
We encourage all attendees bring their own laptops, but a limited number of computer workstations will be available in the workspace. Preregistration is required for this session, with a cap of 20 attendees. Register for this session.
