Whether your students will be solving problems or taking a multiple-choice exam, the way you construct your test can make a difference in their performance. This workshop will demonstrate how you can make sure that your teaching and testing dovetail and that your test questions allow your students to show you what they know. You will get practice editing and writing exam questions. Please submit to the presenter by Sept 5th some test questions that you have written or seen, whether good or bad, so that we have more material to review and discuss (all test questions will be incorporated anonymously). NOTE: This workshop covers testing issues, not grading issues, although tips for effective grading may come up during discussion.
