Necessity Entrepreneurship: An Examination of EU, North American, and Developing Country Approaches to Reducing Unemployment by Fostering a Transition to Self-Employment

Description: The conference brings together scholars from a variety of countries to explore the role of governments in helping the unemployed transition to self-employment.  The topic of study is thus broadly on necessity entrepreneurship, with a focus primarily on EU countries such as Germany, France, Belgium, Spain, Greece and Switzerland, and secondarily on North American (Mexico) and developing countries (Morocco, Egypt, Nepal, the Philippines).
