This summer’s Trayvon Martin decision was a flashpoint for discussions of race in the United States, forcing us to rethink the ways in which we understand our contemporary social moment. This event presents an interactive conversation on how we can, and why we need to, historicize the present, contextualize the past, and foreground the complicated interactions of race, media and social consciousness.
