Research suggests that international teaching assistants face unique challenges from classroom management to instructional, linguistic, cultural as well as social expectations. The goal of this workshop is to i) discuss the similarities and differences between the U.S. and other international educational systems; and ii) review effective strategies and resources available across campus to address challenges encountered specifically by international TAs. The workshop will conclude with an open Q&A session for attendees to share their experiences, challenges and successes.
This workshop is recommended for international TAs.
